2004年，主唱Jacob Hoggard在加拿大偶像第二季中获得第三名后，乐队与加拿大环球音乐公司签约，并在次年发行了他们的首张录音室专辑。
2005年，发行首张同名专辑《Hedley》。
2006年，与Capitol唱片公司签订了国际唱片合同，为他们带来了更多的美国粉丝。2006年的Juno Awards，Hedley的同名专辑《Hedley》被提名Rock Album Of The Year，乐队被提名为New Group Of The Year。在颁奖典礼结束的时候，他们演唱了《On My Own》。
