Israel Houghton, credited as Israel & New Breed, is an American Christian singer and songwriter who has been known to produce worship songs and albums. He is also a music producer and a worship warrior/leader. He has been actively pursuing music since 1997 up to the present. This multitalented artist can also play the guitar and keyboards. He is currently under the RCA Inspiration label.

1989年 became involved full-time in worship ministry. From the start, he looked to overcome cultural and denominational barriers.
1995年 formed his New Breed Ministries.
1997年 Touring extensively brought the Ministries' powerful and diverse sound to churches around the U.S., while lsrael's two releases -- Whisper lt Loud and Way of the World -- kicked off his recording career.
2001年 NewSeason became the first lsrael & NewBreed release and their first release on Sony.
2002年 That label also issued Real.
2004年 That label also issued Live from Another Level (on both CD and DVD).
2005年 Alive in South Africa featured a performance in Cape Town in front of 8,000 attendees.
2006年 The holiday album Timeless Christmas appeared.
2010年 followed by Love God. Love People The London Sessions.

As a singer/songwriter, Israel & New Breed has a number of awards and nominations. Of these awards he received, six are from the prestigious Grammy Awards. He won thrice for the Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album category and once for the Best Traditional Gospel Album category for his work Alive in South Africa.Aside from the Grammy Awards, Israel & New Breed has also won several recognition from the GMA Dove Awards and Stellar Awards.
