Like so many other little girls, Carie Vejvoda started out singing into a hairbrush and dancing around her bedroom. But at age 7, she was already writing her own songs, making up dances, and teaching her little routines to the neighbor kids to put on shows.
Growing up in Omaha, NE, Carie was drawn to music, fashion, beauty, and fitness. At age 18, she was already a cosmetologist, still singing cover songs, and writing music on the side. So, after a year of working in the salon, she had saved up enough money to move to Los Angeles, become a hair color specialist, and hoped to find better opportunities with music. She did.
Finally, at age 24, she met Tim Moore at Mas Music Productions and for the first time began recording her own music. “I was so happy to start working with someone who not only was excited about my music, but also understood my style of writing and the direction I wanted to take my songs. The best part was, I had found someone to work with who listened to me and never made me feel like my ideas were stupid. That’s when I got more creative.”
Carie released her first EP in 2010, and made her first music video in 2011. Now, with her passion for creating music, determination and hard work, she has accomplished her goal of releasing a full album. "I'm Not Your Baby" was released in March, 2013, consisting of ten new songs, and two remixes.
